An unassuming garage nestled in a Connecticut neighborhood was known as “the lab” to the group authorities say were running a robust counterfeit pill manufacturing operation that sold drugs across the country through the dark web, according to court documents.
Earlier this month, authorities raided the East Haven garage, where they found several hundred thousand pills. The amount of pills confiscated throughout the investigation has been described by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration as the largest seizure of counterfeit pills in New England.
